Folk Interiors is owned and run by Kate Astbury Parkinson, a mother of two living in South Manchester. It started after she’d had her two daughters, and she realised the lack of beautiful things available to parents. They stock a wide variety of sustainably sourced gifts and homewares, all of which are sustainably sourced and made, and are available to buy from her online shop. You can view their website here.
The objective of working with Folk Interiors was to raise the awareness of the brand and aim to get their homewares featured in local, national and international press outlets and blogs. It was also important to raise to online presence of Folk Interiors in Google searches.
The strategy involved getting the brand of ‘Folk Interiors’ out there into the world. We did this by:
Creating a press sheet of relevant media contacts and bloggers
Writing informative press releases about products available online
Writing blog posts and content for the website to enhance SEO
Putting together newsletters to send out to customers and media outlets to raise brand consciousness
One of the biggest results from this campaign was having an article published in Enki Magazine in May 2019. This was a huge step for Folk Interiors as a brand, as it raised the awareness of their products, as well as marketing to their niche audience. Folk Interiors has also been featured in Stylist Magazine, The Telegraph and The Guardian, as well as Metro.
Furthermore, due to weekly postings of SEO blog posts, the SEO rating of the Folk Interiors website was improved and this brought more traffic to the online site.
